Hier zunächst die Meldungen aus der DIG
Der neuen cqDL ist zu entnehmen, dass Horst Lingner, DM3KF mit der DIG-Nummer 5183 am 3. Februar im Alter von 88 Jahren verstorben ist. Horst wurde im März 1994 Mitglied der Diplom-Interessen-Gruppe.
Auch den Namen und das Rufzeichen dieses Funkfreundes müssen wir nun in die lange Liste unserer unvergessenen DIG-Silent-Keys aufnehmen. Wir wollen ihn so in guter Erinnerung behalten.
QRX
Die DIG-SSB-QSO-Party hat am vorigen Wochenende stattgefunden und war gekennzeichnet von den Auswirkungen starker Sonnenwinde. Am Sonnabend war 10m fast nur nach Südamerika offen, auf 15m war allgemein wenig Aktivität und auf 20m waren die Ausbreitungsbedingungen ebenfalls mäßig. Auf 80 m waren die Bedingungen zunächst gut, ließen jedoch mit zunehmender Tagesdämpfung nach. Auf 40 m waren vor allem Stationen zu erreichen die zwischen 500 und 1000 km entfernt waren. Ich persönlich habe mich gefreut, dass ich einige für mich neue DIG-Nummern in mein Log schreiben konnte.
Die DIG freut sich trotzdem über jedes noch so kleine Log, das auf unserer Contest-Seite https://dig-contest.de im Cabrillo-Format einzugereicht werden kann. Einsendeschluss ist der 29. März.
Wir hoffen, dass die Bedingungen bei dem DIG-PA-Wettbewerb am nächsten Montag und für den CW-Teil unserer DIG-QSO-Party am Wochenende darauf besser sein werden.

Conteste grundsätzlich nicht auf WARC-Bändern
- Für Freunde der Fernschreibconteste veranstaltet die BARTG ihren HF RTTY Contest von Samstag, 21. März 0200 UTC bis Montag, 23. März 0159 UTC auf den Bändern 80 bis 10 m.
- Am Samstag , dem 21. März findet der Mecklenburg-Vorpommern-Contest statt, und zwar:
von 1300 bis 1500 UTC auf 80m,
von 1500 bis 1630 UTC auf 160 m,
von 1630 bis 1730 UTC auf 70 cm
sowie von 1730 bis 1830 UTC auf 2m
in den Betriebsarten SSB und CW, auf 2m und 70 cm auch FM, jedoch ohne Relaisbetrieb. - Die AGCW-DL veranstaltet am Samstag, den 21. März ihren VHF/UHF-Contest, und zwar von 1400 bis 1700 UTC auf 2m und von 1700 bis 1800 UTC auf 70 cm in der Betriebsart CW.
- Am Sonntag, 22. März veranstaltet die belgische UBA von 0700 bis 1100 UTC ihren Spring Contest auf 80 m in SSB.
- Der SSB Teil des VFDB-DLPX Contests, in dem um Präfixe innerhalb Deutschlands geht, findet am Sonntag, 22. März von 1500 bis 1659 UTC auf 80 m in SSB statt.
- Der nächste DIG-PA-Wettbwerb findet am kommenden Montag, dem 23. März von 1800 bis 1930 UTC statt, in SSB in den Frequenzbereichen 3,6 bis 3,65 MHz und 3,7 bis 3,775 MHz und in CW im Bereich 3,510 bis 3,56 MHz. Um die CW-Aktivitäten auf einen bestimmten Teil des Wettbewerbes zu konzentrieren, wird empfohlen, in der letzten halben Stunde auf 80 m in CW um 3,55 MHz zu arbeiten.

Was gibt es an Meldungen zum Thema Aktivitäten ?
- CYØ, Sable Island (IOTA NA-063): Vom 19. bis 31. März ist ein achtköpfiges Team als CYØS QRV. Betrieb auf allen HF-Bändern in CW, SSB und Digimodes. QSL via Clublog OQRS, direkt via WA4DAN (mit Sase und US-5 $) oder LoTW.
- D4 Capverden: Claudio, HB9OAU ist vom noch bis zum 25. März als D44OA von der IOTA AF-005 QRV. Er funkt von 40 bis 6 m in SSB, CW, FT8 und RTTY. QSL über I8KHC, eQSL oder LoTW.
- XX9, Macao: Für den Zeitraum vom 19. bis 31.03. ist ein 14köpfiges Team mit Betrieb auf allen HF-Bändern als XX9W in CW, SSB und Digimodes angekündigt. QSL über MØOXO.
Und zum Schluss noch eine Aktivitätsmeldung in eigener Sache:
Hessische Funkamateure werden vom 23. März bis zum 3. April die Hochseeinsel Helgoland, IOTA-Nummer EU-127, in die Luft bringen. Unter dem Rufzeichen DAØHEL wird Funkbetrieb von der Hauptinsel gemacht, während die benachbarte Helgoländer Düne je nach Möglichkeit mit dem Rufzeichen DLØIH aktiviert wird. Geplant ist Funkbetrieb auf allen Kurzwellenbändern in CW, SSB und Digimodes. Das Funk-Shack und die Unterkunft befinden sich in der Jugendherberge auf der Hauptinsel im Locatorfeld JO34WE.
Die rund hessischen 20 Expeditionsteilnehmer veranstalten das „Freundschaftstreffen“ auf Helgoland wird alle zwei Jahre. Alle Kontakte mit den Stationen DAØHEL und DLØIH von der Insel Helgoland und der benachbarten Düne können für zahlreiche Diplomprogramme gewertet werden, unter anderem für das „Insel Helgoland Diplom“, das „RSGB-IOTA Diplom“ (Referenznummer: EU-127) oder das „Deutsche Inseldiplom“ (Referenz-Nummer: N-14).
In eigener Sache deshalb, weil ich nicht nur dem Ortsverband E2Ø, Helgoland angehöre, sondern auch der Diplom-Manager für das Insel-Helgoland-Diplom bin. Das Diplom ist deshalb nicht ganz einfach zu arbeiten, weil nur bestätigte Verbindungen mit Stationen zählen, die sich auf der Insel Helgoland befinden. Deshalb ist diese Aktivität eine gute Gelegenheit, Punkte für das Helgoland-Diplom zu sammeln und es bei mir zu beantragen. Ich werde selbst am vom 27. bis 29. März für unseren jährlichen OV-Abens auf Helgoland sein, aber wegen des kurzen Aufenthaltes kaum Funkaktivitäten von mir stattfinden werden.
Das Diplom wurde in seiner Neuauflage in der Diplombeilage Seite 1987 2012 vorgestellt, heute erfolgt dafür eine Erinnerung.
Abschließend kommen wir nun zu den Diplom-Informationen:
INSEL HELGOLAND DIPLOM (Diplom-Beilage Seite 1987, 2012 als Ersatz für Seite 1381)
Das Diplom wird vom DARC e.V., Ortsverband Helgoland (E20) herausgegeben. Es kann
von Funkamateuren und SWLs für Funkverbindungen ab dem 01.01.2000 mit Amateurfunkstationen auf Helgoland beantragt werden.
DL-Stationen benötigen 10 Punkte, andere Europäer 8 Punkte und DX-Stationen 5 Punkte.
Es gelten nur Verbindungen mit Fest- oder Portabel-Stationen (inkl. Gästen) auf der Insel
Helgoland und der vorgelagerten Düne (LOC JO34WE). Jede Station zählt pro Band 1
Punkt, Clubstationen 2 Punkte. Eine Clubstation ist obligatorisch. Jedes Rufzeichen darf
pro Band nur einmal gewertet werden. Verbindungen, bei denen der Antragsteller selbst
seinen Standort auf Helgoland oder der Düne hatte, zählen nicht.
Derzeit wertbare Clubstationen: DAØHEL, DLØIH, DLØDWD, DFØIT, DLØAWI.
Es gibt keine Bandbeschränkungen, alle Betriebsarten außer Packet Radio und Echolink
sind zugelassen. Die Funkverbindung muss mit einer „QSL über das Büro“ bestätigt sein.
Die Diplomgebühr für DL-Stationen betragt 5,00 € plus Versandkosten (derzeit 1,80 €).
Bei einer Tarifänderung werden die Versandkosten angeglichen. Außerhalb DL beträgt die
Gebühr 10,00 € „all inclusive“. Der Versand des Diploms erfolgt grundsätzlich als
Großbrief. Das Diplom ist DIN-A4-groß. Es ist vierfarbig auf etwa 170 Gramm schweren, weißen,
holzfreien, halbmatten Kunstdruckkarton gedruckt. Der Neue Entwurf zeigt ein Bild der
Steilküste Helgolands im Winter. Das Diplom wurde auf der DARC-Mitgliederversammlung im Mai 2000 anerkannt.
Der Diplomantrag wird mit einer GCR-Liste (bestätigte Aufstellung vorhandener QSL-Karten) an folgende Anschrift gesandt: Walter Pilhár, DL3LBP, Am Weidengraben 8, 21481 Lauenburg. 100 Jahre Amateurfunk in Rumänien
Kurzzeitdiplom 16.03. bis 30.09.2026
Die Begeisterung für das Experimentieren mit Radiowellen führte zur Gründung eines ersten Radioclubs in Rumänien. Diese Gründung erfolgte am 18.03.1926 in Craiova. Aus diesem Anlass gibt der CSM Craiova ein Kurzzeitdiplom heraus, das im oben genannten Zeitraum erarbeitet werden kann.
Benötigt werden dazu QSOs mit YR100RC in mindestens 3 unterschiedlichen Band-/Mode-Kombinationen. Das Diplom gibt es in den Betriebsarten CW, SSB, Digital oder Mixed.
Ein Checklog der getätigten QSOs gibt es auf der Seite https://hamlog.online/club/romania/1786/ und von dort aus ist das kostenfreie Herunterladen des Diploms im Erfolgsfall mäglich. Gedruckte Diplome können gegen die Gebühr von 10 Euro beim Club YO7KAJ angefordert werden.

Wie wir im DIG-Rundspruch hier gemeldet haben, ist kürzlich Karl, DL1JKK, DIG 6319 verstorben. Viele Jahre lang hat Karl die elektronischen Diplome des COTA-DL-Programms bearbeitet, und das sehr schnell und zuverlässig. Seine Aufgaben hat nun Ingo, DHØKAA, DIG 6350, übernommen. Es bleibt also alles in Händen von DIG-Mitgliedern. Wir wünschen auch Ingo viel Erfolg für seine neue Aufgabe.

News from DIG
The new edition of cqDL informed us, that Horst Lingner, DM3KF with DIG-number 5183 has passed away on February 3 at the age of 88. Horst was member of DIG since 1994.
His name and callsign must now be added to the long list of our unforgettable DIG Silent Keys. We will remember him with respect and fond memories.
QRX
The DIG SSB QSO Party took place last weekend and was marked by the effects of strong solar winds. On Saturday, the 10 m band was open almost only toward South America, there was generally little activity on 15 m, and propagation conditions on 20 m were also moderate. On 80 m, conditions were initially good but deteriorated with increasing daytime attenuation. On 40 m, mainly stations between 500 and 1000 km away could be reached. Personally, I was pleased that I could log a few new DIG numbers.
DIG is nevertheless pleased about every single log, no matter how small, which can be submitted on our contest page in Cabrillo format. The submission deadline is March 29.
We hope that conditions will be better for the DIG‑PA contest next Monday and for the CW part of our DIG QSO Party the following weekend.
For the DIG CW QSO Party on April 11 and 12, we are again looking for operators for DAØDIG, DFØDIG, and DLØDIG. Anyone interested should contact Werner at .

Upcoming Contest Dates (all times UTC)
Contests generally do not take place on WARC bands.
- For friends of radio teletyping the BARTG organized their HF RTTY Contest from Saturday, March 21, 0200 UTC to Monday, March 23, 0159 UTC on the bands from 80 bis 10 m.
- On Saturday, March 21 the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern-Contest will take place:von 1300 bis 1500 UTC auf 80m,

- The next DIG-PA-Contest takes place on next Monday, March 23. März from 1800 to 1930 UTC in SSB in the frequency ranges 3,6 to 3,65 MHz and 3,7 to 3,775 MHz and in CW from 3,51 to 3,56 MHz. To concentrate the CW-activity on a special part of the contest, we recommend to work in CW in the last half hour near 3,55 MHz.

- CYØ, Sable Island (IOTA NA-063): From March 19th to 31st, an eight-man team will be QRV as CYØS. Operation will cover all HF bands using CW, SSB, and digital modes. QSL via Clublog OQRS, direct via WA4DAN (with SASE and $5 USD), or LoTW.
- D4, Cape Verde: Claudio, HB9OAU, is active as D44OA from IOTA AF-005 until March 25th. He is operating from 40m to 6m in SSB, CW, FT8, and RTTY. QSL via I8KHC, eQSL, or LoTW.
- XX9, Macao: A 14-member team has announced operations as XX9W from March 19th to 31st. They will be active on all HF bands in CW, SSB, and digital modes. QSL via MØOXO.
Finally, a personal announcement: Radio amateurs from Hesse will be activating the deep-sea island of Heligoland (IOTA EU-127) from March 23rd to April 3rd. Under the callsign DAØHEL, operations will take place from the main island, while the neighboring Heligoland Düne (dunes) will be activated as DLØIH whenever possible.
Planned activity includes all HF bands in CW, SSB, and digital modes. The shack and accommodations are located at the youth hostel on the main island (Grid Locator: JO34WE). About 20 participants from Hesse organize this „Friendship Meeting“ on Heligoland every two years.
All contacts with DAØHEL and DLØIH count toward various award programs, including the „Insel Helgoland Award,“ the „RSGB-IOTA Award“ (Ref: EU-127), and the „German Island Award“ (Ref: N-14).
I am mentioning this because I am not only a member of the local club E2Ø (Heligoland), but also the Award Manager for the Heligoland Award. This award is quite challenging to earn because only confirmed contacts with stations physically located on Heligoland count. This activity is a great opportunity to collect points and apply for the award through me. I will be on the island myself from March 27th to 29th for our annual club meeting, though I will have very limited airtime due to the short stay.

Island Heligoland Award

The award is issued by the DARC local club Heligoland (E20). Licensed amateurs and SWLs can apply for contacts made from January 1, 2000, onwards with stations on Heligoland.
Point Requirements: DL stations: 10 points, European stations: 8 points, DX stations: 5 points.
Rules: Only contacts with fixed or portable stations (including guests) on Heligoland or the Düne (JO34WE) count. Standard stations = 1 point per band. Club stations = 2 points per band. (At least one club station contact is mandatory). Each callsign counts only once per band. Contacts made while the applicant is also on the island do not count.
Current eligible club stations: DAØHEL, DLØIH, DLØDWD, DFØIT, DLØAWI.
Modes: All modes except Packet Radio and EchoLink. No band restrictions.
Confirmation: Contacts must be confirmed via QSL (Bureau).
Fees & Logistics: DL Stations: €5.00 + shipping (currently €1.80), Outside DL: €10.00 „all-inclusive.“
The award is A4 size, printed in four colors on 170g white, semi-matte art card. The new design features the Heligoland cliffs in winter.

100 years since the first amateur radio activity in Romania
The enthusiasm for experimenting with radio waves, in the context of global technical discoveries, led to the founding of the first Radioclub in Romania on March 18, 1926, in Craiova.
On this occasion, the amateur radio section of CSM Craiova issues an anniversary diploma.
The diploma is awarded for at least 3 contacts with the special station YR100RC in different bands and/or different modes. The accepted modes are: CW, PH, MX or DG (all digital modes!) in the
authorized bands and on satellites in the amateur service.
The special callsign YR100RC will be active between March 16 and September 30, 2026. Activators can obtain a diploma by creating and uploading logs with at least 250 QSOs. Diplomas in electronic format are free and can be obtained directly from hamlog.online If you want a printed one, the diploma costs 10 lei in YO or 10 Euros for those outside YO-
